Ceramics and glass showcase

The inaugaral Margaret River Ceramic and Glass Showcase will be held at the Margaret River Pottery Gallery from Saturday July 10th until Sunday July 18th The exhibition will showcase over 30 local artists with each presenting five pieces, including a joint entry from the Pottery students at the Margaret River Senior High School. Works in stoneware, hot blown glass, reduced lustre earthenware, ceramics, woodfired stoneware, ceramic mosaic tiles, pit fired ceramics and ceramic sculpture are some of the mediums represented. From a huge dragon suspended from the ceiling, to a range of very interesting brooches, (made not only by the potters but members of the Margaret River Arts Council as well), most works will be for sale. Jointly organised by Margaret River Pottery and the Margaret River Arts Council to follow on from EDGE, the National Ceramicists Convention in Perth. The exhibition will run daily between 9am and 5pm.
