Leschenaultia biloba

Aboriginal people called this flower 'the floor of the sky', and no wonder. In Spring it can carpet the ground with blue flowers that are in effect landing strips for bees. The petals have white stripes to lead the bees to the nectar. There are 21 different species in WA.
FLOWERS: July to November.
DISTRIBUTION: Widespread in the south-west and extending inland. Likes jarrah forest soils.
