The pleasures of port
The Berry Farm
has established a huge following for the exquisite range of fruit ports
that owner and winemaker Eion Lindsay has produced over the years.
Now these people and any other port enthusiasts have the opportunity
to get to know these ports, and their producer,
on a far more personal level.
In two exclusive tasting sessions, Eion will
be matching his Dark Plum, Pink Plum and Boysenberry Port with a
taste plate of foods that he believes make the ideal complement.
Participants
will also be the first to try two new ports that are yet to be released,
and following a special behind-the-scenes tour of the winery itself, Eion
will provide a barrel tasting of his 16-year-old Plum Port.
With the tasting finishing just after midday,
participants can choose to stay on and have lunch in The Cottage (additional
fee applies).
When: Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th
November
Time: 11.00am til 12.30pm
Cost: $15.00 per person (Maximum 20
people per tasting).
Additional
$24.00 for those wishing to stay for a two course lunch.
